Hey,

This is the full stylized hair setup file, that I've showed in this video:

In short - It's a .blend file with a Hair Curve object, that you can easily import into your project, and have a stylized hair curve, with geometry, material and shader controls set up, ready for you to groom in shape.

Here are the steps to bring in into your scene:

  1. File > Append.

  1. Select the file.

  1. Object folder.

  1. Select the 'Hair' object.

  1. With the curve selected go Alt+P > Clear Parent.

  1. Parent it to another object. This should be your Base Mesh, where the hairs will attach. That object MUST have a UV map.

  1. In the 'Object Data Properties' of the HAIR CURVE select the object that is the surface (Base Mesh) and chose its relevant UV map.

  1. You might have to bring the root part of the hair curve, in Edit Mode, close to the surface. It is not necessary, but sometimes, if it's too far from it, it might be tricky to get it to stick to the base mesh. So do it.

  1. Use the 'Slide' tool in Sculpt Mode to move it along the surface of the base mesh.

  1. Use the 'Comb' tool to groom.

  1. The Hair object should have all its modifiers, material and attributes set up, and all the relations between the modifiers and material working. If not, reference the video.

  1. To see the fading transparency effects, set the 'Blend Mode' in the Material Settings to 'Alpha Hashed' (Eevee only). In Cycles it should be OK.

  1. Your time to shine! Show us your hair grooming skills :)
